Bank to Wallet FAQs

Bank to Wallet (B2W) is a service that allows customers to move money from their bank account to their Tigo Pesa account using their mobile phone

You have to be registered with your bank’s Mobile Banking service

Visit your bank branch or ATM to register. You can also call our customer care line 100 or visit our shops

There are 25 banks listed as seen below

There are 2 ways to perform the service once you are registered for this service with your bank

  • From Tigo Pesa Menu by dialing *150*01#
  • From particular Banks’ USSD short codes. You can find the short codes in our website

Follow the procedure below

  • Dial *150*01#
  • Select 7 - Financial Services
  • Select 2 - Bank to Wallet
  • Select your bank and follow the steps instructed

Select “Other Banks” option in the menu and look at the second and third sub menus. If you still can’t see your bank, please call our Tigo Customer Care #100

All the bank short codes are listed on our website

The charges you will incur will be from your bank when you transfer money to your Tigo Pesa account

You will receive your money instantly or within 5 minutes

If you don’t receive the money from the bank please call our Tigo Customer Care #100

With this service it’s easier and more convenient to get money into your Tigo Pesa account since you do it wherever you are just with your mobile phone

If you swapped your SIM card you will need to go to your bank to update the change in SIM card, even though your number has remained the same. If you have the same SIM card please call our Tigo Customer Care #100 for further help
