Merchant will have codes and QR codes which will allow customers to pay by entering codes or scanning QR codes.
User Journey:
CUSTOMER:
On USSD
- Enter in the Tigo Pesa Menu (*150*01#)
- Select 5 (Lipa kwa Simu)
- Select 1 (by Tigo Pesa)
- Enter Merchant number
- Enter Amount to be paid
- Enter PIN to complete payment.
On Tigo Pesa App
- Select Lipa kwa Simu button then put merchant code or
- Select Lipa kwa Simu button then Scan merchant QR code
- Enter Amount to be paid
- Enter PIN to complete payment.
MERCHANT:
On USSD
- Enter in the Tigo Pesa Menu (*150*01#)

- Select 0 to enter in the merchant account
- Select Business account.
- Select Tigo Pesa service that you want to use, example; send money, cash out, check balance etc.

- Select Merchant button to enter in the merchant account

- Payments charges for customers from other networks are subjected to the discretion of the issuer
- Customers are eligible to pay amounts based on the standard limits (Not more than 5M per day)
- Tigo will not take part in any agreement between a merchant and customer.
